Vegan Filipino Chayote (Ginisang Sayote) with Rainbow from Bear and Rainbow on Vimeo.
Follow me, Rainbow, at twitter.com/RainbowOfREHAB.
Filipino vegan cuisine, light, healthy, refreshing, flavorful!
Did I mention, easy as pie? My lola, grandpa used to grow
this in the backyard with bamboo as the supportive fence.
DIY in as little as less than 10 minutes! I’m always hungry—I’ll race ya.
Rainbow’s easy Filipino sautéing with the main character, Chayote! Or Sayote in Filipino. Vegetarians, use fish sauce for more Asian flavor, optional. Vegans use seaweed extract in replacement of fish sauce, recipe on my previous, Sinigang video (the older “motion-sickness” one). You can also use this exact same recipe minus the chayote and replace with upo, or fuzzy squash. Or, you can minus the chayote and use with turnip greens, mustard greens, mustasa, or sitaw the long Chinese string beans. I love to replace the main character with cauliflower, kale, and any kind of my favorite green leaves! You get the picture, same base or supporting characters, different lead character. Let’s have fun! Like up, comment, subscribe.
Thank you for watching. Peace!
