The greatest trick ever played on humanity was convincing us that we are powerless.

We’ve been programmed to believe we need someone else to save us, to provide for us, to think for us. We’ve been taught to fear our own strength and doubt our own wisdom. But here’s the truth they don’t want you to remember: We are the power.

Every system that claims to control us only exists because we allow it. Every institution that tells us we’re helpless only thrives when we believe that lie. The moment we stop feeding our energy into systems that diminish us is the moment we reclaim our sovereignty.

Here’s how you know the government has too much power over us: when they threaten to take something away, we panic. When they talk about cutting benefits, removing support, or changing policies, we react with fear instead of empowerment. That fear response is the proof that we’ve given away our power.

This is a narcissistic system at work. Just like in a toxic relationship, they create dependency, then threaten to withdraw support to control behavior. “Act right or we’ll take this away.” But here’s the truth: they never had the real power to begin with. We gave it to them.

A true government would be made up of elders and guides – people who empower communities, not enable dependency. They would teach us to fish, not keep us begging for fish. They would strengthen our ability to provide for ourselves, not convince us we’re helpless without their intervention.

When we stop fearing what they might take away and start remembering what we’re capable of creating, the whole dynamic shifts. Fear is the weapon they use to keep us small. Fear of not having enough. Fear of being different. Fear of standing up. Fear of each other. They’ve divided us into categories and labels, convinced us that our neighbors are our enemies, that we need to compete instead of collaborate. But division is their strategy, not our reality.

We are mothers and fathers, elders and youth, creators and builders. We are the ones who grow the food, build the homes, care for the sick, teach the children, and hold our communities together.

We are the ones with the knowledge, the skills, the love, and the power to create the world we want to live in.

The government isn’t doing the work – we are. The corporations aren’t creating the value – we are. The systems aren’t holding the power – we are. We’ve just forgotten.

When we remove fear and remember who we are, when we stop looking outside ourselves for salvation and start looking within and around us, when we choose unity over division and community over control, everything changes.

You are not helpless. You are not powerless. You are not alone. You are part of a magnificent human family that has survived and thrived for thousands of years through cooperation, wisdom, and love.

It’s time to remember. It’s time to reclaim what was always ours. It’s time to stop asking for permission to be free and start living like the sovereign beings we are.

The power was never theirs to give. It was always ours to take back.
