Keep the therapist away: Meditation

Have you ever experienced a melt-down? Hopefully not in public! Have you ever experienced a long-term emotional break down or period of prolonged stress, anxiety, depression, mental and emotional instability? Today’s society is re-membering how to be whole, holistic in life to be well again.

People have been trained to give their power away.

To who? Everyone, including those who do not have their best interest. Big pharma, financial institutions, substances, false sense of pride, other humans & non-humans, shadow selves, etc. Let’s save this for another day.

Prozac, Zoloft, psychotropic anti-depressants or anti-anxiety pills may be called quick fixes, but what do they focus on, the symptoms of the root causes of the problem?

Let’s focus on choices conducive to optimal wellness, versus letting things go wry and trying to cure diseases or problems when it’s later and more challenging.

Keep the therapist away with daily meditation.

Why do I meditate?

Do I enjoy it? Is it easy for me to start or get myself to do it? Hell, no!!!

So, why would I waste my time doing something boring, or unpleasant? Oh, the mind wanders, your racing thoughts ask, can I really afford to do this when I should be picking up the kids, cleaning the house, calling prospects, putting in an extra hour at the office? This is so silly! I am nervous. My mind is all over the place! Oh, wait, was that a glimpse of settling into peace?!
Wait! Don’t disappear, I am chasing that feeling! Wait, I must relax to get it back, ugh… How uncomfortable, tedious. Why am I complaining? I am suppose to clear my mind and empty the thoughts, right? Breeeeeeathe…. Sigh, let it out. Oh, I am so hard on myself. You know, that compliment my boss gave me, I should really appreciate and celebrate that. Smile. Ooo, I am relaxing. Let go of the worries as I exhale… Breathe in peace, trust. Exhale stress and pain.

What are the benefits you can reap by a daily practice of meditation?

Besides realizing you need to scratch your nose or the deafening, uncomfortable silence? People uncomfortable with silence are uncomfortable with getting deeper and getting to listen to themselves, hence the necessity for background noise.

You can get in touch with your deep, true self, your divine. You are God and God is you. You drink deep of that universal peace and feel a sigh of relief when you’ve had a good sit. That’s what you call it, a meditation session, a sit.

When you feel tense, like you’re hanging by a thread, after your sit, you feel a release, like an orgasmic release! Okay, not always that intense, it feels like you just let go and got a chance to get a deep rest like a rock that got energized by sitting on Mother Earth. It is a big, long term sigh of relief emotionally, energetically, on all levels!

You re-set into more peace and control so you don’t snap at the next person who slightly gets on your nerves. You nourish your cells with a more mindful breath, rejuvenating, boosting your immune system, softening the harshness of the stressful wrinkles in your face.

You will sleep better, faster, more easily, more deeply, less hours or more hours depending on what you need. Your sleep will be more peaceful and less interrupted.

You will be more attractive and people will be more willing to work with you cooperatively. You’ll attract favorable situations to yourself. This practice of mindfulness will allow you to enjoy yourself more, even during sex!!! Enjoy the moments of your life because your way of being will be more mindful, appreciative, on point. You will enjoy things you never noticed before, like the sun warming your skin, the breeze kissing your skin. You will see, notice, and experiences nuances of joy you never payed a perspective to before you will less in your head and allow yourself to be in your body. You will be more in control, not easily swayed by negativity from yourself, others, or situations.

You will be hardier and less likely to resort to less helpful behaviors such as addictions to heroine, ganja, alcohol, smoking, sex, comfort eating, coffee, shopping, sex, sabotage, bullying, or any addiction you use to make yourself feel better. Spend less money and time on medical expenses that drugs and zombify you. The anti-anxiety & anti-depression pills big pharma push on you, those are the gangsters. Meditation clears anxiety and any and all heavier emotions.

It’s a time of self-evaluation. You get to listen to yourself. You get to talk to God. Studies prove that when doing things in a group, such as prayer, healing, and or meditation, it’s effectiveness is increased more than if an individual were doing it solo. Blah, blah, blah. Are you still reading?

Just frickin’ do it, you deserve it! If you don’t believe that, meditate on it. Ha!

Come enjoy a sit with us once or twice a month in person. We’ll most likely do this live online in the future.

How to Choose a Healer?

How to Choose a Healer?

We can’t tell you. You must discover this on your own. Sometimes your preferences can change depending on the issue and goal you are working on, and or the spiritual evolution you’ve grown into over time.

What are you looking for? What is the goal? Are you healing a physical and or emotional issue? Are you solving a certain problem or healing a certain illness/ injury?

Are you looking for someone honorable or with integrity? Or are you just looking for someone to get the results you want? What your definition of integrity may be different to other people’s because we all have different values.

What are you pet peeves?

What are your values? Does he or she have to have the same values as you?

Do you feel trust with him/ her? Why? What beliefs do you have in common?

Does the person feel genuine to you? Does it matter, or do you just want to get what you want?

Are you looking for someone cheaper for free, like a student or intern? Are you looking to do a trade?

Are you looking for someone experienced who tells you want to hear and spoils you?
Are you looking for someone experienced who kicks you in the butt to your next levels of transformation, tough love? Everyone has a different preference.

Is it important for you that this person actually is a living example of what they practice? Or can they just perform on you, but not apply it on themselves? Usually people who are more expensive are those that practice what they preach. Everyone knows everything. Only a few apply it. You get paid for what you live—your lifestyle—you’re daily living example, not what you know.

Do you believe this person can deliver? Do you believe you can deliver? Do you feel this person has the connection with you to support you to transform? Do you prefer a strong connection with someone, or someone who can deliver results? Or do you want both the connection and the results?

What is the most powerful solution? Who is the most powerful healer/ therapist/ teacher/ coach? Instead of asking who or what is the most powerful, why not try asking this instead: “What intervention do I need right now and with whom?” Powerful is not always what we need. Sometimes we just need to be listened to, loved, or learn, or become aware. Sometimes we just need a compassionate, gentle approach, or a space to just BE and do nothing. It just depends on the timing and your needs.

So, these are just a few questions to get the ball rolling. Get clarity with yourself and discover along the way what suits you at this time. As you evolve and your needs change, your choices can change, too. Just be flexible in your growth instead of punishing yourself or judgmental. How you view yourself and the world will change, especially with the problems you face and overcome.

Why Does One Become a Healer?

Why Does One Become a Healer?

People may have misconceptions that healers can do magic and heal other people’s diseases away, or control the weather. Someone may be born with these gifts easily. Others may have to work at honing it.

As un-elegant as it sounds, being is healer is responsibility.

The trite and true adage, with great power comes great responsibility. You will never understand it until you have walked this path.

What it means to be on this path of healer is self-transformation. The only way a healer can help others is because he or she has successfully conquered certain obstacles himself or herself. Essentially, you can receive a treatment but not change yourself, or you can have lasting results because you transformed yourself. What do I mean, transform? You have healed limiting beliefs that the diseases or problems in your life are solved and healed because you changed the way you think about them, hence your feelings and actions coincide. To live as a healer is to have a lifestyle change. Change is uncomfortable and unpopular. Change can be worthwhile if you work at earning your desired outcomes.

There are turning points in our life that cause us to want to live our lives in a more purposeful way.

One’s sickness can instigate a journey of self-healing.

Sometimes the death or an accident of a loved one impacts us to follow our dreams. Why does it take something so severe for us to change? Comfort zones are more dangerous discomforts. Slithering along in mediocrity or comfort allows us to stagnate.

People are happy when they grow. This is what makes life meaningful. We have a need to grow and even contribute. The WHY, the life purpose is what you are put here on earth to do. Most people never discover what their reason for living is. This just take up space and get old.
Loss, is the biggest reason people change.

People can lose their loved ones, their ability to walk, their trust in people. When this happens, people lose their old perceptions of the world and be awakened to other truths that can never be unseen or unheard again. When one is exposed to certain situations, it is hard to revert back to the old self without being insane.
Adverse situations, they’re uncomfortable but can be used as catalysts for change.

When accidents or misfortunes happen, things are awakened. One’s sense of awareness can be heightened, like psychic abilities or urgency to accomplish or contribute to a cause. Sometimes when one is hurt, revenge is the driving force behind accumulation in power and or retaliation.
When accidents happen, psychic senses can be extremely heightened like never before.
When near death experiences happen, your reality of who and what you are can cause you value what you didn’t before.

When you’re sick and tired of the crap that you’ve been put through, short term or long term, you can have a breaking point. You can be tired of feeling powerless, unhappy, abused, or whatever negative feelings.

Breaking points can happen for two kinds of catalysts. It can be a one time or a series of intense, severe, crises that is one’s breaking point. Or, it can also be a habitual pattern of long, drawn out series of drudgery lifestyle that is now unnoticeable but accepted as your norm.
Healing is not just merely receiving a treatment from someone.

True, deep healing is change. Transformation is uncomfortable but worthwhile.

Why do people want change? Maybe a loved one died and they say to themselves, “I cannot waste my life. My loved one would’ve told me how precious life is on his or her deathbed and to make the most of it. Do what makes me happy and that in turn is giving back to the world in a positive way.”
Maybe someone was violated, robbed, assaulted, and no longer wants to live in fear. Maybe they don’t want to live in anger. Maybe they are living in anger. Either way, this person may want to reclaim their power, peace of mind and happiness.

Maybe a debilitating disease or condition has caused someone to lose function of certain organs or limbs. That could be painful enough to want to commit suicide, or find a better way of living.

A mentor of ours once said, “The bigger the pain, the bigger the power.”

I can relate. The more I have lost or given away, the more painful it is. At the same time, the more rewarding it is when I reclaim my power and happiness.
Misfortunes, revenge, reclamations, enlightenment are all different reasons which can be interconnected in why a person becomes a healer.
We are meant to be happy, prosperous, powerful. Prosperity is wholeness. Healing is wholeness, is holistic. Prosperity is wholeness in peace of mind, health, and plenty. Holistic healing entails every aspect of you, mind, body, and spirit. So a person who is healing is making himself or herself more whole. How do you become whole? What imbalance in disease or problem is God asking you to come back to balance, to wholify yourself?
What is the meaning of this crisis that you are undergoing? What creative opportunities does this pain present at the crossroads of your life at this moment?
